Chef Dinner with Matta Owner Richard Văn Lê

Join us for our second experiential dinner with guest chef and Matta owner, Richard Văn Lê. With this dinner you can expect to enjoy a beautifully curated five course meal made from local ingredients and inspired by Vietnamese cuisine. Dinner will be intentionally paired with four Balsall Creek wines.

Richard moved to Portland with a dream of becoming a chef. Having been taught all of his recipes from family, he wanted to showcase that the Vietnamese cuisine could be versatile and adapt to the ingredients of the Pacific Northwest. His creativity and style led to the opening of Matta – an endeavor that began as a food cart and evolved into a culinary experience of its own. Matta has won Eater’s Food Cart of the Year, Starchefs Rising Star Award, and a James Beard Award for Media. The restaurant had a residency with Dame Collective through June, so if you missed the chance to visit while he was open, NOW is your chance!
