Summer Sipping Series

Chehalem Mountains Winegrowers are ready for all the sunny afternoons and picnic dinners with our favorite warm-weather bottles. We’ve handpicked a few that are perfect to enjoy while you savor the summer. Here are four wines we find best served on a porch, patio, or lawn in the summer sun, so dust off your favorite picnic blanket, bust out the portable speaker, sit back, relax and enjoy a taste of the Chehalem Mountains.

2014 Hamacher Cuvée Forêts Diverses Chardonnay

This floral wine begins with fragrances of nutmeg, apple, honey, and citrus. Bright and flavorful, it presents hints of lemon tart, almond, and pear, and finishes soft and clean. This Chardonnay is perfect for a summer brunch or a light picnic in a park.

2021 Hawks View  Winery White Pinot Noir

We imagine this white Pinot complimenting a golden happy hour or late afternoon spent outdoors. Its bright aromas of ripe strawberry, white peach, and mango are the essence of summer. This wine is perfect for sipping on a warm day and would be nicely accompanied by light appetizers.

Christopher Wines’ 2021 Cristo Irresisto (Pink)

On-the-go and don’t want to worry about carrying around whole bottles? Look no further than these cans from J. Christopher. A blend of Grenache and Syrah, this wine is inspired by Provence and is versatile, convenient, and easy to take camping, to the pool, or even just hanging in the backyard. And if you prefer a traditional bottle, that’s available too.

Longplay Wine’s 2018 “Pixie” Sparkling Rosé of Pinot Noir

As you embrace all things summer, take time to slow down, and enjoy this extra dry sparkling rosé with its floral aromas and fresh fruity flavors.

However you choose to enjoy the summer, Chehalem Mountains Winegrowers have the wines for all the sunny occasions. And of course, our doors are open too, so come on out and see us!
