Our vineyard consist of 15 plantable acres of which 7 acres are planted with pinot noir and the remainder to be planted with pinot noir over next two years. Planted acres: 3 acres Pommard, two acres 115, one acre 114, one acre blended block of 8 different pinot noir clones.
Initially farmed utilizing LIVE farming guidelines (we anticipate LIVE certification in 2008) with intentions of moving towards biodynamic practices. The Lichtenwalter Vineyard is located in the heart of the Ribbon Ridge AVA. The 15 acre vineyard site is on gentle southwesterly facing slopes with elevations between 500 and 350 feet. The vineyard is halfway through a 4 year planting schedule. Plantings are scheduled to be complete in 2010.
