- About us: Laura Volkman produces 3.5 acres of Pinot Noir grapes in the Chehalem Mountains. A new world winegrower with an old world philosophy, "we let the fruit make the wine". Meticulous vineyard practices throughout the growing season; shoot thinning to allow sunlight into the canopy, cluster thinning and harvest decisions are critical to every vintage. Intense fruit aromas, flavors, sugars and natural acidity are the focus of all our wines and we strive to achieve this balance in the vineyard.
